About the Speaker
Dr. Edmund Liang Chai Ong is an internationally recognized physician
specializing in infectious diseases, tropical medicine, and general internal
medicine. His research interests include HIV, tuberculosis, dengue fever,
opportunistic infections, clinical epidemiology, anti-infective therapies, and
healthcare quality improvement. He has authored more than 160 peer-reviewed
publications, contributed to leading infectious disease textbooks, and
collaborates on international research projects across multiple countries. Dr.
Ong also serves as the International Global Advisor (Malaysia) for the
Royal College of Physicians, London.
